Similarities between Capsule and French Girl Wardrobes

The Capsule Wardrobe is very much a work in progress, as I have mentioned before. Living with my first Capsule I have found it to be nowhere near complete and already I have come up with many ideas and improvements for my next. I consistently enjoy looking through other blog posts / Google searching / browsing Pinterest and re-watching YouTube videos for both inspiration and to keep me personally motivated. It is very easy to revert back to old habits, so remembering why I started this process in the first place is really important.

When recently browsing and developing a new 'Capsule Wardrobe' Board on my Pinterest account, what I found to come up often in the search was the typical 'French Wardrobe'. I found this interesting, as although I had not started my Capsule Wardrobe on this basis, it made a lot of sense to me. As a (increasingly typical) Francophile blogger, I am forever inspired by that elusive nonchalant French style that so many of us seem to aim for.

When looking at the similarities between these two wardrobe concepts, I came to the following 5 conclusive points:

・ A lot of thought goes into creating an effortless look
・ The clothes are classic & timeless
・ Both wardrobes contain only a small amount of clothing
・ Quality is paramount
・ Accessories are key

In a future post I will share with you the collection of links I have been collating from various blogs and websites, in case you are interested in starting this process for yourself.
