Yes we are in the season of Spring and I am wearing a woolly hat. It was so blustery yesterday as we went for a day trip up to Northumberland and visited Bamburgh Castle for the first time. I took this hat along, not expecting to need it, but I should have known that on the top of a hill at a castle, the weather would be rather chilly.
My weekend uniform consisted of jeans, top and boots alongside a new coat purchase. Despite my recent Capsule Wardrobe comment on my shopping radar being firmly switched off, this was an unexpected but very welcome purchase. I had a knee-length good quality coat on my winter shopping list, so when I happened upon this piece in the Designer Clearance section of my local Fenwick, I knew it had to come home with me. I think one of the most important components of the Capsule Wardrobe is making lists of clothes owned and planning in advance the pieces needed, thus removing the temptation of rash impulse buys. So as a planned piece, this was a fantastic saving and keeping very much in line with my Buy Less, Choose Well ethic.
