Tea Today¹

I have so much tea stashed away in my pantry, that I thought it about time to start sharing them with you. So for my first Tea Today post, I'm bringing to you my current most used tea. I absolutely adore Chai tea, although I drink mine black rather than with milk and honey, as it is supposed to be drank. I particularly like Kusmi's Kashmir Tchai as the taste really focusses on cardamom. At first I wasn't sure about it, thinking maybe it was a little too overwhelming a taste. But I quickly got used to it and now it is my favourite brand for Chai. If anyone is not familiar with Chai, this Kashmir Tchai version by Kusmi is a blend of black teas and spices according to the traditional Nepalese recipe.

I like the ceremony of tea, and prefer loose leaf, so it is good to have an array of tea making gadgets to assist with the process. I saw this Belloq Tea Strainer on Instagram a year or two ago and had to order it immediately, it is such an unusual design. I've yet to try Belloq tea but it is definitely on my to-buy list at some point in the future. I also used my Liberty tea pot (a lovely surprise gift from my boyfriend) and a favourite vintage tea cup and saucer, as well as a measuring spoon to distribute the leaves (which you would have seen before from an Edinburgh Buys post on here). There is something so calming and relaxing about making and drinking tea, and especially at this time of year it so lovely to be cosy at home enjoying drinking it.
