A couple of weeks ago I headed down to London to the stunning Ham Yard Hotel for the grand unveiling of Next's Spring/Summer '15 collection. Despite London having an unlikely snowfall earlier that morning, it was easy to quickly forget and embrace everything summer and sunshine with their beautiful summer clothes and accessories. As always, my favourites from Next were their accessories and homeware. Here are some of them that caught my eye...
I think Next summed up the new collections very well in their recent Blogger Network email:
70’s influences are STRONG for womenswear this summer with swing tops, tassels and flares dominating the racks. Paisley prints are interspersed amongst warm rusts and contrasting monochrome, whilst pom-poms, suede and cork provide the texture! This look is best worn with loose curls and bronzed skin... someone take us on holiday, PLEASE!
The 60s inspired menswear range sees the short suit taking centre stage. A mostly fondant palette, suits are offset with ditsy print ties and matching pocket squares. On the whole, prints are jazzed up for summer with conversational styles, artisan weaves and typography graphics appearing across tops and bottoms. Get us to the Riviera!
Homeware came over all blue and nautical, taking influence from far away shores! We’re ALL about bringing a sense of escapism to our homes… and it’s easy to achieve with a touch of country cottage, yacht club and exotic garden! Decorative accessories like ceramic vases and copper lights are a fast way to work the trend now.Kidswear is given a new lease of life through a spectrum of colour. Tropical prints and oversize florals keep the vibe young, while Coachella-style separates welcome a warm and spicy festival feel. Urban touches are accentuated through modern shapes in effortless prints - perfect for kids of all ages, and with Half Term next week - you'll no doubt need some inspo when it comes to a week without uniform.
Another fantastic season of clothes, accessories and homeware to get excited for in the coming months!
