So I'm finally back from Paris and my little blog break. I had the most wonderful (almost) week in possibly my most favourite city in the world (that I have visited so far at least). I have been to Paris quite a few times now, as a result of which didn't end up taking many photographs. I find my photographic eye works so much better when I visit new places, and because my boyfriend had not been to Paris before, we chose to look around many of the famous sights which I had been to many times before. For me, I am grateful to be in Paris, anywhere at all in the city will do. But unfortunately I don't have many photographs to show for it, although I'm sure I'll be able to rustle up another couple of posts out of the pictures I do have.
The weather was quite mixed, some days incredibly hot, another a little cooler and a couple of very heavy downpours - which happened to be rather cosy and romantic, sitting in Parisian cafes watching the rain bounce off the pavements outside. I took loose summer dresses to wear mostly, this one I was sent from the brand Dickens & Jones at House of Fraser just before my trip, which came in very handy. I chose the size UK10 but they do run quite large, if you're considering every buying this brand, so this dress will need altering a little at some point. But I adore the print and style of it and in a loose cotton fabric, was very comfortable to wear in the sweltering Paris heat.
