Shakespeare & Co

I had wanted to visit this famous bookstore that I had heard so much about, for so many years. But somehow whenever in Paris, never seemed to find myself anywhere near the Notre Dame area. This time I made a special visit and discovered around a corner this tiny, quaint little bookshop. Photography was not allowed but I did manage a few quick snaps outside. The inside was a different story, hot and packed with people, I would love to re-visit on a quieter day (if this bookshop ever finds itself quiet and without tourists). There was a wishing well built into the floor and so many good, English-written books to choose from. It was almost as if someone had laid out my favourite authors on one shelf... Hemingway, Tartt, Murakami and so many others. I would definitely recommend a visit if you're planning a trip to Paris.
