Flea-Market Finds

 photo ff-1_zps4bc3c70d.jpg
Things I picked up from the flea-market at the weekend. I really did not have anything in mind before I went (sometimes I write a list to refer to while I am walking around the stalls). I didn't think there was going to be anything to buy this visit but somehow managed not to walk away empty handed :-) I spotted this candelabra, a little weathered and rustic, just how I like things. I loved it but couldn't really think of a spot in my house for it. I decided to buy it anyway, knowing I would regret it if I didn't. This was on a half price table, so £6 instead of £12. I'm always happy to find more plates to add to my ever-growing collection. And at 50p each, why not. I think these flowers have to be the best arrangement I have ever bought for a fiver. Eucalyptus, berries and those cabbage flowers I can never remember the name of. And owing to my extreme sweet-tooth on Saturday, I indulged in a slice of Key Lime Pie and small bag of Cinnamon Cinder Toffee (I put Saturday down to a bad food day). I wish I could remember the name of the cake shop as I would love to have linked to his website. I love it when you can get to chat with the maker of the goods being sold and he was so happy to indulge my questions on his produce!

  1. oh wow, that cinnamon cinder toffee sounds and looks amazing! and i love the little gold and white plates you found. i never really have things in mind when i go op-shopping or to flea markets, mostly because there's not much that i really need, but also it leaves me more open to discovering things i wouldn't have thought of until i saw it sitting there.

  2. Everything looks so gorgeous! I have a crazy amount of old plates from car boots and charity shops. My favourites are a set of red rose Midwinter ones I found recently :)
