Nica Satchel

It's always a happy day for me when a new handbag arrives to add to my collection. I have lots of different types of bags - big and small, expensive and inexpensive, old and new. As long as I like them and there is something that catches my eye, I don't really mind their origin. This bag caught my eye, largely due to the tooled print and simple satchel style. And despite not being real leather, it has a really good finish of a high quality, despite quite an inexpensive price point. Nica is a new brand to me, but can be found in Top Shop, John Lewis and House of Fraser. The bag I have chosen here is from the SS14 collection, named the Sara Satchel and is available in both black and tan, large and small versions - this is the large black. It has some really lovely details apart from the tooled finish which originally caught my eye, such as the antiqued brass clasps and bright Liberty-esque fabric lining and has a slight vintage vibe about it. A perfect comfortable and stylish day bag that I'm sure I'll get a lot of wear out of.

  1. you look so adorable! i'm totally in love with that look, but please! look at your bag *___* it's just like a dream :) lucky you!

  2. ooh that's beautiful! I love the tooled pattern. I always used to be put off by faux leather, but the quality seems to have rapidly improved in recent years (with some brands, anyway) and now I'm much more interested. I think I've spotted Nica in House of Fraser before and really liked their purses, I must give them a closer look.

LOVE the lipstick! how could anyone resist a lipstick with a name like 'wild ginger'!? so pretty xx

  3. That satchel is gorgeous, I love the pattern!
