Last Saturday my friend and I headed north by train to Edinburgh for our annual pre-Christmas day out. I had a vague recollection that there were some Christmas markets but that wasn't the purpose of the trip. As soon as we left the station, we spotted the markets to the left so ventured in to have a wander around the various stalls. I really loved this market, so much better than ours in Newcastle. It is has a designated spot, sitting amidst so much history and culture. The stalls had lots of good products and there were food stalls aplenty. Along with an ice rink and big wheel, there was quite a lot to see and do.
