On Saturday afternoon I got myself along to a blogger event at Malmaison Hotel in Newcastle upon Tyne, organised by local blogger Hannah. She had been musing for a while that there are not many blogging events held here in the North East of England and so took it upon herself to organise a get-together, for local bloggers to get to know one another. The venue was one of my favourite hotels in Newcastle, who kindly supplied a function room along with delicious prosecco and nibbles - and not forgetting the goody bags supplied by both Malmaison and one of Newcastle's biggest department stores, Fenwick. Quite a large task to organise the event by herself, it was a huge success enjoyed by everyone in the crowded room, and with another event planned in a couple of months time.
I wore a newly purchased dress and coat along with some classic flat shoes, a style which I have had my eye on for a while. I eventually settled on this pair by British brand Freed of London, most famous for their classic dancing ballet shoes, which they in fact have been producing since 1929. They have the most amazing selection of everyday-wear ballet pumps. The weather here has definitely turned chillier in recent days, no longer the hot and humid temperatures we've experienced lately. So it was quite nice to start wearing a coat again along with shoes and tights. I ended up not taking my dslr camera this time but opted for some iPhone pictures instead, so you can at least get a few snaps from the event itself.
