Tea for Two

Photobucket
Yesterday I was invited for Afternoon Tea at nearby Jesmond Dene House by my friend who had received a 'Tea for Two' as a Christmas Gift. So the afternoon was spent combining a few of my favourite things - delicious food, the chance to wear some new accessories and catching up on some good girly chat.

I was going on straight from the tea for the rest of my Saturday evening, so chose to wear a long Anna Field dress, dressed down a little with some Sigerson Morrison suede flat shoes from Spartoo shoes. Yesterday was one of those really cold but bright, sunny days. So I was able to wear some new designer sunglasses for the first time. Not necessary to wear indoors I know... but for the purpose of these photographs, a must :-) They are another pair of classic cat-eyes, you may remember my last pair in this postThese are again from The Sunglasses Shop, this time I chose some Miu Miu Sunglasses (a favourite brand, the style is Miu Miu 01ns sunglasses). I really like this style of glasses, although these are not quite as exaggerated a shape as the last pair. The last Prada pair were trimmed with gold and these have a small silver Miu Miu logo, so I now have a pair to suit when wearing either metal on the rest of my jewellery and accessories. The jury is still out for me on mixed metals and I'm quite particular in making sure my metals match! So now I just need some spring weather to wear my new summery shoes and sunglasses.

  3. You look gorgeous and your hair looks lovely.
What other blogs can u recommend about fashion and lifestyle by women of similar age to you. I reckon I am a few years older than you.

  4. Sarah - thanks for your comment. I must admit, I don't read too many blogs. And I have to say it is a predominantly young field. What kind of age group would you be looking for?

  5. Yes I agree it is a young field. I read loads of blogs but most of the bloggers are really young, early 20s ish. I would just like to read some by slightly older people who are into style/fashion/beauty like you. Sorry I hope I haven't miss judged you as being a bit older. I read wishwishwish, what I heart today, all the project 10, littlebirdfashion, llymlrs (way too young for me really this one), sometimes the sartorialist, dooce (was the first blog I ever read and still do religiously, different to all the others I read.) And loads of others really. A beautiful mess, um can't think of other for the moment.

  11. Sarah - here are some 'older' bloggers, late 20's/30's. I don't know of many beauty blogs other than what you have mentioned - Bonjour!, Cherry Blossom Girl, Emma's Vintage, junkaholique, Kingdom of Style, Lingered Upon, Anna Malmberg, Fieldguided, Lobster & Swan, Tales of Endearment.
