All White

Photobucket
I actually first discovered this dress via an Instagram contact, this particular contact posts pictures of her buys on Instagram and so many of what she chooses are so much to my taste too. I have a bit of an addiction to cream lace dresses... current count six. But I loved this one so much I bought it in black too. I continued with the white theme and wore it with some Kat Maconie sandals purchased from Spartoo shoes and some white tights that I've had for a while... to continue with the Victorian ghost theme :-)

Picture an Hour - Saturday 24th November 2012

A Picture An Hour. Or thereabouts.
After a prompt from a reader, I decided to do another of these posts... it's been far too long.

Photobucket

1-3pm Lots of time is spent catching up with one another's lives. I don't take pictures of the food this time.

Photobucket
3.30pm I finish off with a small cup of hot chocolate.

Photobucket
4pm. I meet my boyfriend at the pub next door, The Broadchare. I must confess to cheating with this picture - I took it earlier, knowing it would be dark by this time.

Photobucket
5pm Obligatory self-portrait in the bathroom. I'm wearing my new Family Affairs Tenenbaum dress.

Photobucket
8pm Arrive home. The migraine which has been threatening all day, does not get any better!

Is It Cold Enough Yet?

Photobucket
Love them or hate them, I have yet to find anything to replace Uggs as the cosiest choice for winter footwear. These have saved my life for many years in some rough winters that we have had recently with lots of snow. They are quite expensive, so thankfully they do last for many years. This is my third pair, I chose grey this time and quite like the fact that they can be worn in a couple of different ways (I forgot to remove the inside tag before photographing). I bought these boots from my monthly shopping perusal at Spartoo shoes where they currently have quite a good selection.

The Royal Tenenbaum

Photobucket
I do love it when designers give a name to their designs. So in this case I was overjoyed to take up lovely Nina's offer to choose something from her Family Affairs range. I opted for the Tenenbaum Dress, even better that it shares the same name as one of my favourite Wes Anderson films, The Royal Tenenbaums. I really love the design, with it's high collar, flared midi skirt and nipped, belted waist. As autumnal as the print is, I'm really looking forward to wearing it next spring/summer as the fabric is so loose and lightweight. I chose to wear it with some new Curved Heel Platform Ankle Boots from Ted Baker, the first pair of shoes I have had from this brand. And although they are very high, they are incredibly striking. Finally, as the dress is sleeveless and it is rather chilly at the moment I finished the outfit with a glittery jacket that I bought at the #nextlockin. I love the structured design, it is so classic but is made of a very interesting fabric. Finished off with some vintage and Zoe & Morgan rings and the Daniel Wellington watch that has not left my wrist since I received it. (Don't forget you can still receive a 15% discount on the range of watches by entering pinkbow at checkout).

On My Travels

Photobucket
Ok, so this year I haven't managed to travel to as many faraway places as I would have liked. I seem to have spent more time on city breaks in Great Britain than expected. but I'm not complaining as I do love exploring my country. On my last trip however, my trusty suitcase decided to 'pack up'. So I began the hunt for the perfect replacement - lightweight, a good size, spinner wheels, with a long handle in sleek black. I found my answer in this Delsey hardside suitcase from Spartoo shoes. I have yet to take it on its' first outing but I think it will be perfect.
