Wearing a heavy fringe limits me enormously in my choice of sunglasses. I have a whole range of designer frames sitting unused, collected over the years but which I'm unable to wear due to the size of the lenses. For the last three years at least, I have used mostly only a pair of Ray-Ban Wayfarers (and some cheap Cat-Eye styles), as these seemed to be the only small style to sit alongside my big fringe. As much as I love the Cat-Eye sunglasses, my eBay versions were quite uncomfortable to wear, probably due to the inexpensive manufacture.

So I thought it about time to start looking around for a designer pair of the same style. The Cat-Eye shape has been around for a while now and enough time has probably passed for them now to be deemed classic. I started my online search with the as they really seem to have the most amazing choice of frames, both designer sunglasses as well as for the smaller budget. I came across these perfect 1950's style Prada sunglasses, available in three different colours (the style I chose are Prada 05ns Sunglasses). I eventually decided on the clear frames with tortoiseshell arms and lens, in the hope they will work well with any outfit. In the meantime, my best accessories for 1950's style sunglasses - a perfect matt red lipstick, nude nail polish and an obligatory flick of cat-eye eyeliner.

The glasses are cute, and I really think the clear frame was a good choice, because it's lighter and your hair is so dark (and beautiful).

Cat eye sunglasses are the best, and I agree that it's so hard to wear them if they are too big! Especially with a fringe or bangs as we call them :)
