Fragrance is so personal, I like to be able to choose it for myself (despite being rather nice to receive as a gift). So I was a little wary to be offered the chance to be sent the new but unknown Valentina Assoluto by Valentino fragrance. As it turns out, I have become obsessed with this fragrance, one of my favourites to date. It is an unusual blend, rare, strong, musky, sexy and feminine. Above all else, it smells expensive, if that is at all possible with a perfume. As well as the amazing packaging, I love how it makes me feel when I wear it - the sign of a very good perfume.

It is such a stunning, sophisticated bottle, I often see this one in department stores but never pick it up to have a smell. Will definitely next time! x

gorgeous bottle. I'm wearing Chanel no 5 eau premiere at the moment and I know exactly what you mean about a perfume changing how you feel! I always feel instantly classier when I spritz!

You're right, the packaging is absolutely beautiful. I loved the little bag, how practical and pretty. (Plus, can't help admiring your manicure, I love the vintage red.)
I like cologne smells better than perfume, but if its musky that sounds like it has possibilities....
