Stephen Jones ~ Bowes Museum

Photobucket
The main reason for my visit to Bowes Museum a couple of weeks ago was to see the Stephen Jones Millinery exhibition, Stephen Jones: From Georgiana to Boy George. Unfortunately due to a family event, I missed out on the chance to meet the man himself and the first opening of the exhibition. However luckily for me, the event is still running - until 2nd September - so there is still a few weeks left, if you live around the North East of England and wish to see a small but incredibly iconic display of some of the finest hats in the world. Possibly most well-known for his connection to Boy George, Stephen Jones has worked with some of the biggest fashion houses including Jean-Paul Gaultier, Vivienne Westwood, Christian Dior, John Galliano and Giles Deacon. The Museum often plays host to many wonderful fashion collections, you may remember the last I visited, Vivienne Westwood Shoes - I feel very lucky to live close enough to be able to visit with some regularity.
