Take10 - Lulu Guinness for Uniqlo

This month's Take10 challenge is a collaboration between Japanese retail chain Uniqlo and various Best of British designers Lulu Guinness, Orla Kiely and Laura Ashley. To celebrate the 10th anniversary, the collaboration offers a selection of limited edition tee shirts which we each selected. My UT choice was Lulu Guinness and I was presented with a bow style monochrome tee. I chose an outfit appropriate for the miserable British weather, channeling film icon Charlie Chaplin with bowler hat and umbrella, high-waist peg-leg trousers from Toast and monochrome ankle boots by Marian, the monochrome of the shoes and tee complimenting each other perfectly.

As well as styling the tee shirt, as is usual for our Take10 challenges, we were also asked to join Uniqlo's Best of British Pinterest boards, showcasing our inspiration on how we have each styled the tee shirt. My thoughts were firmly on the drab English weather we have currently been experiencing, British film icon Charlie Chaplin and the best icon of all, the British Royal Mail post box. You can see my Pinterest Best of British Board here and the rest of Uniqlo's Pinterest boards here. And don't forget to check out how the rest of the group have styled their tees too...

  11. Found you through the Take 10 project - as your outfit was my favourite. Although I wasn't sure about the Tee you were sent I love how you've worked it into this outfit and captured the Britishness theme with the bowler and umbrella (of course, you need it at the minute!)x

  18. Have just stumbled onto your site via another from your Taken Ten group, and have been devouring your archives all evening. I love your blog, but this- channelling your Chaplin- is the best. Very wonderful look.
