Another dream bag so close to the last? I already know I have a handbag addiction. I spotted this one a while back on my monthly Spartoo shoe shopping perusal. But at around £750, was a little more than I could justify. I had bookmarked it and kept checking back to have another admiring glance. Until last week, lo and behold it had been reduced by £230, to £520! Still expensive but for a classic Pollini handbag, I couldn't resist. In the most amazing marine coloured textured leather with matt gold hardware, it is the most perfect lady-like handbag.
I did a little investigation on the Pollini brand too and found out it is an old Italian footwear company founded in 1953. In the 60's, the company started to produce handbags as coordinates for the shoes. The company recently started to produce for the Moschino Fashion House and have collaborated through the Aeffe Fashion Group with Alberta Feretti, Philosophy di Alberta Feretti and Narciso Rodriguez accessories collections. In 2002 Jonathan Saunders was appointed creative director for the ready-to-wear collection and licensed product ranges with Nicholas Kirkwood appointed as style director for the shoe collections and fashion coordinator for the bag collection. Fashion aristocracy!
