In the Kitchen

Photobucket
A couple of new additions to my kitchen recently. I had my kitchen repainted from a pale grey to this peppermint green colour, which has really brightened things up a bit. And I wanted a display shelf to house some of my favourite kitchen utensils (a work in progress as I keep changing things around) and spotted this plate shelf from Ikea at a very reasonable price. I bought again, for the third time, a Bialetti Stove-top Coffee Pot as it was on sale at Fenwick - I keep destroying them with a lack of attention when making the coffee, this time I chose the 3-cup espresso size.

And finally I managed to get my hands on some good knives with the help of a Groupon voucher I was sent. Although I was aware of Groupon and have had the iPhone app for a while, I have only recently started getting into it. In fact I've gone a bit mad, as well as these Jean-Patrique Professional Kitchen Knives, I have also recently purchased 4 Chiropractor Sessions, a Shellac Manicure for me and a friend and a Champagne Afternoon Tea for myself and family. The Manicure and Tea are yet to come, so I'll probably post those at a later date. But so far, Groupon is providing me with the temptation of trying out things at a good price that I would never before have thought of. Definitely my newest shopping addiction!

Cait - it's just a dulux paint off one of their standard charts. I'm not sure what the exact number of it was.

  18. Your house is my dream house, seriously. Loved the new color of the walls, like you said, it really brightened up the place! And the kitchen shelves are life savers but I'm loving your display more than the shelf itself.

(I have a slight addiction with anything related to culinary, your knives are amazing! I've been meaning to buy a new set too but couldn't find anything that tempts me enough.)

Do share more details about your house, it's always a pleasure to witness details of your eye pleasing life.

  23. Maria - thank you!!

Justsaying - they're from a shop called Collectables. Not sure where you're based ir if they are around the country. They are labelled 'traditional sweet jars' and were on offer for £6!
