Last week I spent a brief couple of days in London to attend a wonderful dinner hosted by TKMaxx. As well as learning more about their new charity campaign Give Up Clothes for Good, I also got chance to catch up with some blogger friends old and new. Being uncharacteristically unorganised this visit (I usually have my activities mapped out), I decided to spend my spare few hours wandering around to see where the day led me.

Time to read some favourite magazines. A good breakfast making use of the free wi-fi. Lots of walking, window shopping and actual shopping. Browsing for tea in Fortnum & Mason. Pondering the David Hockney exhibition. A cake stop at Ladurée. Dream shopping in Bond Street. A glass of red wine in the Prosecco Bar in Harrods whilst updating Instagram and deciding which Paul & Joe products to buy. Sometimes it's nice just spending time alone to do exactly as you please.

I love to walk round london by myself and just take everything in. Such lovely photos. x
Your post makes me happy that I'm getting to know London so well that I can recognise most of the places and their locations from the photos - I have yet to go to Fortnums yet, though!
ahh this looks like a perfect day :) can I ask where you buy The Gentlewoman from? I live in Durham but can't find it anywhere here or in Newcastle! x
Thanjavur everyone!
Rachel - I love visiting London, you are so lucky to live there!
Fen - I bought all of these in Selfridges in London, I have contacted Fenwick before for the Gentlewoman & she said she would order. I have bought Oh Comely at WHSmith in the MetroCentre before. But failing that, I always order Lula etc from Analogue Books in Edinburgh - they are so lovely, I would thoroughly recommend!
Me days are fabulous, and these photos are even better :)
