Last Sunday was definitely the first day of the British summer. We seemed to have (temporarily, I'm sure) bypassed spring and jumped straight from winter, to a rather misty but beautiful summer day. A day in Durham had already been planned, so it was with some luck that the weather happened to be quite perfect for a walk by the river. It had been a couple of years since my last visit, so I donned my newest comfortable flat shoes - black leather flats from Kallisté (which I posted about earlier in the month) - and enjoyed the new season.

The weather looks absolutely gorgeous Paula! I can say that it's definitely Summer in HK but it's far cloudier over here...I blame the air pollution! I'm definitely craving the cleaner, crispier air back home!

gosh I'd forgotten all about the boats in Durham! I guess once you've lived in a place so long you forget to appreciate it's good bits :) I desperately want to go on one now, preferably with a picnic! such lovely photos you always have :)
