Some pictures from my day yesterday. York in the North of England is the perfect place to go for a pre-Christmas trip. Narrow, cobbled Harry Potter-esque streets, lots of Christmas displays, window shopping and the obligatory Bettys visit for festive mince pies.

You can check out my last visit to York a year or so ago, here.

  6. I have never left any comment so far but this "Christmas in York" reminded me of a few years back when I was a French assistant. I did my assistantship in Hull which is not far from York. I went there for the first time around Christmas time and it was so lovely !!
Thank you for making me travel there once again it reminds me that I had the time of my life in England !

  18. I want to go! Right now!! I've always lived in the Midlands, but I'm convinced that my mother's side of the family and their northern roots beats strong in me.....anytime I see pictures of yorkshire stone, betty's tearooms, anything, they call to me in a quite weird way!

But enough waffling....I'm off to go google train prices for a wander oop north....
