Bank Holiday Nature Walk

Photobucket
The final British Bank Holiday of the year, my family and I decided to go for a four mile walk on what turned out to be a cool and windy day. So windy in fact, that I kept the hood up on my parka most of the way, I always seem to get ear-ache for some reason when walking. I kept dawdling behind taking pictures and then running to catch up with the rest of the family who were so far ahead. The pictures I took of the wild scenery were more than worth it though... as were the huge blisters I developed on my feet from these Converse shoes - now I remember why I hardly ever wear them!

  1. looks like you had a lovely walk :)
My Converse give me really bad blisters too. I had to walk around San Francisco barefoot once because they hurt so much! I do wonder if they are slightly too small for me?
I get really bad ear ache when I'm walking if it's windy too. I've seen some very cute Hello Kitty earmuffs in H&M for £5 that I might have to go and buy! :)
Glad you had a nice Bank holiday walk :)

  6. it's weird, i've never had that problem with converse but i've heard it a lot. i have loads of problems with shoes rubbing but converse is not one of them. i also get the ear thing though, the winter is hellish, esp seeing that i don't drive and therefore walk loads.

really great snaps this time round, it pays off to be at the back on the group! really like the road signs, road and the wire fence

  9. That's definitely one amazing walk. Don't think I'd capture so many lovely shots if I did a four mile walk around here. Love that photo of you holding up the leaf. Beautiful pictures! Here in Malaysia, we never have bank holidays. But I think we are one of the countries that have the most holidays in a year, haha! x

  10. Ohh the pictures are beautiful!
I've never got blisters from Converses (touchwood!) although maybe I have odd shaped feet, who knows.
PS. I picked the red dress in the end :') xx

  12. Looks like a really pretty walk. The flowers and the horse are so beautiful.

I can't believe you had trouble with the Converses. They're the shoes I turn too when heels are too much.

  13. Great photos - it's hard to pick a favourite infact. But oh - how your photos show that autumn is already here, breathing over leaves and berries.

  18. Ahhh the perils of Converses. I've owned them on two different occasions and intend to never buy them again! They look cool, but I like my feet too much to put them through that agony again.

These photos are so beautiful! I hope your blisters are feeling better.. Cons do the same to me, but they are so addictive to wear. x

  32. I love nature photography! Your pictures are really great have you ever thought about using a film slr camera, even though developing pictures can get expensive, the end product of film photography, especially of nature is so worth it! Maybe as a trial and error thing, I don't know. Your blog is really good anyway!
