Take 10 ~ Faith at Debenhams

Many of the pieces we are sent to style for the Take10 Project are not always to my taste. I knew this when I was asked to join the group, but as I see it, this is kind of the whole point. I view Take10 as a styling challenge for ten very different individuals. This challenge, probably more than any other so far, proved challenging. Not that I found these Faith shoes particularly difficult to style - as soon as I saw them this dress immediately sprang to mind. But more so as these shoes are something I would never buy for myself, to my eye they are pure pantomime!

  3. I was definitely NOT a fan of the shoes. They're were too statement-y for me. Love the dress you styled them with though! TYhey go surprisingly well.

  4. I love the Take 10 Challenge, the looks you ladies come up with are so diverse.
I would never have chosen these shoes for myself but there are a few looks here that I could easily see myself wearing.
Your dress is perfect for these shoes, do you think you'd wear them again?

  5. I didn't immediately spot that your dress had animal print stripes - I like, that was a stunning etsy find!

  16. Oh my! I would most definitely fail at this type of challenge, for when put to the test I cannot remotely fathom how to style a thing unless it happens by accident, a sort of serendipitous charm - and in this sense you are a maverick! I am so pleased that you didnt just opt for the safety of black, which I might have done, for your choice of dress is so unique and refreshing.

  17. 'Pure pantomime' is such a great way of describing them. They certainly are theatrical. I saw Sabine's take on styling these too. You really rose to the challenge here - and made them look as good as is probably possible!

  21. This is the reason why I like your style and its consistency so much. Even though these shoes are so peculiar (and not much in your style, I must admit), I've been able to give them a personal touch. Your outfit is the only one which actually stands out, in my opinion.
