The Last Rays of Sunshine

Photobucket
These pictures were taken a few weeks ago, I seem to remember complaining rather a lot at the time about the bright sunshine. That seems like a distant memory now with the incessant rain we have had for the last few days. Typical British weather, roll on Autumn I say!
I chose this cute daytime dress from Zalando - it was a good price, has a huge bow and was chosen at a time when I was buying rather a lot of the colour navy blue. It's one of those basic transitional pieces that I know I will get a lot of wear out of, especially for those days when all I want to do is throw on a dress and not have to think too much about what I'm wearing. Paired again with the Jeffrey Campbell sandals and a tan bag I bought when I was last in Barcelona.

  10. It's a very gorgeous neutral dress and the navy color is so true blue. BTW I've been meaning to ask you, are these sandals really comfortable. I do not wear heels at all and have rather sensitive feet, meaning I need the leather to be really soft, do you think these will feet the bill?

  15. Tashrin & Constance - despite not looking it, the shoes are very comfortable to walk in. The platform makes them not so high and the leather is very soft.

  17. I love those sandals! Are they comfortable? I have to ask because apparently I can't function in heels anymore. Also adore navy--it's a little more fresh than black, I think, and it is such a pretty dress. Hope you have a great weekend! xoxox

  23. Cute outfit!!

I have a question for you: since you've had well painted nails forever, do you have any secret to share? I'm terrible at applying paint on my right hand. :-(
I've bought some paints in lovely colours but I've given up on actually using it...
    Thanks!

  25. So so pretty, we need more simple basic dresses like this!!

  26. Susie - yes, surprisingly comfortable

Normalityandme - I am very guilty of that too!

Raffaella - yes it is difficult to paint the right hand with the left, I always try to leave a strip bare at either side of each nail, it gives a neater look, and I always clean up around each nail with a cotton-bud/q-tip dipped in nail varnish remover

  33. So fond of this combination of colours, especially topped off by the luscious nail colour! I am still quite obsessed with navy, too, and how perfectly it works with brown/tan. The bow and bag are such a lovely touch.
I know what you mean about the psychotic summer weather, autumn is rather more reliable and consistent at least.
