This year, my main birthday gift is a trip to Paris booked for September. So as I am not expecting the usual array of gifts to open, I decided to treat myself... I never really need much of an excuse anyway! My tradition usually is to buy myself a party dress of some description. Usually vintage and decorative, to wear throughout the day more so than to attend any party - here was last year's. This year however, I didn't seem to get myself organised at all, choosing and finding vintage dresses can be quite time-consuming. So instead, this year I went good old-fashioned shopping in a real life shopping centre, which I so rarely do these days. I also had a day trip to The English Lakes District, (which I will share with you another time), so managed to pick up a few bits there too. These are what I bought and the cream lace dress is probably what I will end up wearing later on today...

Happy birthday dear! All of these look absolutely lovely~ The two pleated dresses remind me of one that I got by TFNC from Asos. It's almost the exact same cut, mine is just solid! (this is mine) I love the polka dot print on yours, they are so cute! Also, the breton top is gorgeous and so classic.
