Detail of the Day

I spotted this jewellery range by British designer Alex Monroe when I was last in Liberty. When it arrived on Saturday I was a little unsure on the tone of the gold. I was expecting a lighter gold, although should have known what to expect as it is 22 carat gold plate. But after a quick call to Liberty and a couple of texts to Kat (another Alex Monroe fan), I decided to keep it as I really do love the intricate design.

Very pretty and delicate, but i can understand your concerns with the colour.

I really love the colour, it certainly looks beautiful in these images. Such an exquisite, intricate thing. I am also rather distracted by the nail colour also. I love that shade!

What a beautiful necklace! When I was younger I used to much prefer silver to gold, but as I've grown older I have definitely warmed to gold jewellary and now it's mostly all I wear. I think it is a lovely colour!

This is precious!! To be honest, I'd prefer if it was a tad bit less 'gold', more of a white gold, but its still beyond gorgeous! xx

Oh that is wonderful! I have been really into real gold and just jewellery, not that I can afford much of it but I sure like the look of it! I'm glad you kept it, I think it goes well with your style :)
