My first press day was to view the Autumn/Winter 11 collection by Next. I was as excited to meet fellow bloggers and meet the Next team as much as I was to see their new offerings. It wasn't until later when editing and choosing photographs for this post, that I realised my eye had been firmly drawn to Next's homeware and fashion accessories.
I loved the way the homeware had been set out, a topsy-turvy tumble of different pieces and accessories for the home, it's the little details that make a home individual and there was a good selection to choose from. Fashion-wise, the shoes, handbags, hats and scarves were personal favourites amongst themes of preppy, 70's bohemian as well as those classics Next are so well known for.
This being my first event, I'm sorry to say I did not photograph the people around me, concentrating instead on what you see here. My blogging life so far has been rather covert, it was slightly strange to be in a room filled with other bloggers going about their business just like me. But to see a little more of the day, check out this post by Sophie.
A big thanks to Eleanor, Vicki and Jenny for the invite and arranging my trip.

wow ,absolutely fab pics! love shoes! xoxo.have a great week! stella
What an absolutely gorgeous presentation. I like how they presented their homeware in a soft derelict way. Brilliant!
Wow, every season I say I need to go to next to check out their shoes, but every time I go shopping I do forget. It's one of those stores which has changed so much in the past decade, but for some reason I associate the brand with my grandma. Nevertheless, the shoes here look wonderful!
Excellent photos! Glad you enjoyed it :) gorgeous collection indeed, i absoltely loved the 70s feeling of the first outfit. Looks like a lovely place.
Hey Pinkbow! I love these so much, I could see you making it as a photographer as well :) I'm proud of you for getting in to your first event!
I'm going to post pics from my Europe trip soon, but I'm not as good of a pic taker, lol!

It was a great press day and it was great to meet you.
The homeware really was wonderfully set out.
Wow. I really live the 1930s look with the fashion collection. Those brown fringed shoes are lovely. I doubt that I could walk in those heels though! x
Wow, the decor and the clothes look amazing! x
I really like the way they styled their homeware in a jumble-style. It appeals to my rummaging eye.
Love the way its all set out and your pics look great. Some really nice bits and bobs, may have to check out some of the homewear!

The shoes are indeed gorgeous, I so wish our local next had better stock, as I'd be so much more likely to shop there is this were the kind of stock available.

I loved how the pieces were set out at Next - the jumble shop-style of it all was fantastic! And it was so great to meet you :) x
Thanks for popping over to my blog. These are beautiful pictures and there's some fantastic shoes featured here x
I have to admit Next is usually a store I don't feel drawn towards at all but this post is almost enough to change my mind!
You always take great pictures but these ones are even greater!! :)

I love the quality of your pictures. Warm and cosy. Your interior selects are nice too. I was in Spitalfields on Sunday and on one of the stalls the had jewelery hanging off a birdcage. I only noticed as I overheard someone else point it out as a cool thing to do. I agreed with her. Nice to see one in your selection. Sounds like Next looked after you well. Xxxx
Your photos are wonderful! I really liked the shoes at the Next press day--they were probably my favorites (besides the cute waiters and the yummy drinks!)
What gorgeous photos, it's so bad that I'm getting excited over the glimmers of Wintery clothes already! I'm loving the vintage feel their clothes seem to have! I always think Next has some great things on offer for affordable prices but is largely under-appreciated in the fashion world in comparison to dominating stores like Topshop. x
Next has really changed over the last year, never used to be so on trend! Their homeware and winter collections looks amazing! x
What a delightful-looking event, and delightfully photographed! Next chose well in their invitation to you. I love the topsy-turvy arrangements of the home decor, like an Alice in Wonderland attic.
I have often contemplated how you have such a magnificent and adventurous style blog, but still seem discreet and quiet about it in the world. It's a good balance.
Oh paula, i LOVE those prada style high loafers!
Gorgeous pics

the old shot in the mirror trick again!
You always leave me drooling and inspired by your pics.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
