A Day in Richmond

Photobucket

Photobucket
Another day trip we took over the Easter holiday (I loved how the three days I took off work ended up being eleven!), was to Richmond, North Yorkshire in England. There is little shopping, Richmond is quite a small market town, however I did manage to find the most adorable Antique shop with the sweetest owner who actually suggested to me how much he would discount the items I chose - that has never happened before! I came across another Sadler teapot (I really don't need another teapot but I think this is my favourite so far, so I couldn't leave it behind), a small hand painted china plate and some pink glass bowls. Afterwards, there was a pleasant walk along the river with an ice-cream treat at the end of it - toffee crunch and hokey-pokey (cinder toffee) in case you're wondering!

  34. I live in Richmond so when i saw the title of this post - i said "MY RICHMOND?!" - So glad you had a great time. Did you pop in to Me&Mi or Dots Place? They are really cute little shops.

We've been taking yorkshire day trips too so next time you're around the area, head over to Brymors. We went the other day, it's about 20 mins from Richmond, deep in the yorkshire dales! http://temporary-secretary.blogspot.com/search/label/road%20trip I would also recommend a little garden full of adventures called Forbidden Corner. xxx
