My friends and I meet up every few weeks for Afternoon Tea, so we are always looking for new places to visit. Although I frequent Hotel du Vin in Newcastle upon Tyne quite often, the promise of their 'Curiouser & Curiouser' Afternoon Tea, lured me back once again. Cocktails in tea pots and cake stands with delicate china cups were the perfect setting for sweet cakes and dainty finger sandwiches. We enjoyed cups of rose petal tea and glasses of champagne & cocktails, amid lots of laughter and good conversation. The intimate lounge area was laden with many other ladies also enjoying this perfect setting on a sunny spring day. If you're in the area or lucky enough to live near a Hotel du Vin, I would definitely recommend a visit.

  3. Wow, meeting up with your friends for afternoon tea is such a great idea! You've taken some lovely photos of this place, hopefully if I'm ever around there I'll get the chance to visit it. They seem to serve delicious things, and use the most adorable crockery!
