So my new hairdo finally gets a showing on here. It's been well over a week since I had it cut and actually feels like it's grown a lot already, even though I'm sure that can't be possible. I must admit to being quite cautious this time, I decided to wait to see how I adjust to this length before making any further radical decisions. I know it's not a major difference in style but getting several inches chopped off in one go was still a big thing for me. I'm happy with it, I think it suits my style more than the longer version and it certainly takes less time to dry on a morning.

You look brilliant! So much healthier than your long and lovely hair though, the ends were thinner back then. I was looking for some courage for a new do as well, I guess I've found it! Back to my bangs? Maybe! You could even use a shorter hair, this suits you perfectly. Enjoy your new do Paula!

Love your new do! I'm the same with haircuts... very cautious, though the last time I went, my stylist actually chopped off a bit more than I expected. Nevertheless, I do like the feeling of hair feeling lighter and needing less shampoo.

lauren - i blow dry it straight use straighteners, as a result it's not in the best condition (hence the cut). the photos are deceiving!
sarah - mine is frizzy too, esp in damp weather conditions
mat - i've had about 6 inches chopped off ;-)
k - just the editing i think although i have dyed it blue/black in the past
