Take 10 ~ Spoiled Brat

For this challenge, we were each asked to choose a piece from Spoiled Brat's sweatshirt range. After two attempts of choosing items that were out of stock (obviously a very popular brand), my third time lucky choice was this unicorn sweatshirt. A sweatshirt is another item of clothing I would not ordinarily have chosen but I must concede the fabric is super soft and cosy and the the unicorn is a rather sweet touch. Here are how the rest of the group styled theirs - Sherin (Hi-Fashion) ~ Ellie (Pretty Much Penniless) ~ Vicki (Magpie Girl) ~ Sarah (We Shop) ~ Harriet (Where's Harriet) ~ Sabine (Psynopsis) ~ Jen (A Little Bird) ~ MJ (Dreaming Spires) ~ Adele (Moltocuriosa).

  2. I have used spolit brat a few times and been pleased with the items, usually brought for my daughters.

Whilst the sweatshirt is cute it's just not you! You are alway so glamorous and it seems very odd to see you in this. Plus it does nothing for your figure. (hide it at the back of the wardrobe I say!)

I do love the scarf and boots though.

  3. I love the way you've styled it! My boyfriend has a thing about t-shirts/jumpers with animals on and has quite a collection. I think he'd like Spoiled Brat's designs too (maybe a tiger rather than a unicorn though) - which is good because I can borrow his clothes when he's not looking!

  15. Hi P, it's strange to see you in a style you don't usually wear. You carry it off really well and the maxi looks fab. But the sweater somehow doesn't say "Paula" to me in the way your outfits normally do.
Isn't it fascinating how clothes reflect personalities and lifestyles and say so much about us.
    Love Kat x

  20. please may i & kat - i absolutely agree. this sweatshirt is not something i would choose for myself, the size is medium so too big for me.
however, when i agreed to take part in take10 it is indeed a challenge & i knew that i would have to wear things not to my taste. i enjoy the challenge of trying to style an item that is 'not me'.
but i agree kat, the power of clothes and how they represent us can be so strong. i like to think that my choice of clothing as much as my home, reflects my taste.
    thanks ladies xx

  21. So relieved you felt the same!

Your right though it's good to challenge yourself with items you would not have chosen. That way you may find a style that would never have made it to your wardrobe before.

  22. I love this take 10 challenge. It shows how to work any item to fit your style, even if it is something you wouldn't normally wear. You totally made this sweatshirt your own and the outfit looks great! x

  28. You look great in this. I really love the headscarf who is it by? How did you tie it? Xxxx

  29. fashionistable - i'm not sure where the scarf is from, it's my mother's. it's a long thin shape, so tied it around the back of the head first and then back up to the top of my head in a small knot.
