This morning, a very pleasant time was spent with my dad. We visited the Literary & Philosophical Society (the 'Lit & Phil'), an old library in Newcastle upon Tyne, which I believe to be an absolute hidden gem if, like me you adore old books. I roped him into some picture taking, which you'll see in a few days and afterwards we went over to Starbucks. We ate a strawberry cupcake (me) and an apple doughnut (him) and drank cappuccinos, listening to the pitter-patter of the rain outside, cosy and content in each others' company.

You can never go wrong with Starbucks - hit me with a skinny cap and skinny stem ginger muffin stat!
Too bad we don't have Starbucks here in Belgium! Every time I'm at a Starbucks (on business or travel in any country but my own) I get my coffee there. It just feels a little more special then that cup a coffee you pour yourself in the morning...! I'm glad I'm not the only one taking pictures of it :)

My favorite Starbucks coffee is a white chocolate mocha with a shot of hazelnut. The world is a better place after I have this.
