Morning Routine ~ Winter Skin

The best moisturiser (in my opinion). My skin always feels a lot tighter in the winter months and I have struggled for years to find something that would rid me of this feeling on my face. This moisturiser is for very dry skin, cuticles, hands, feet etc. But for me, it works perfectly on my face without being at all greasy. And it has the added bonus of smelling very medicinal, like the Carmex lip balm I am so fond of. What are your beauty secrets?

  1. I have never seen this product before but it certainly sounds like it works. I use a mix of l'avene hydrating and calming products- available at boots ( small selection) but sold in all spanish pharmacys. Seems to help my skin chill out and not be weighed down with thick moisture.Katie.xx

  2. mine is the old-fashioned favorite vaseline - perfect for lip balm along with conditioning your eyelashes and eyebrows! Jules x

  3. Sounds great, I love Carmex! At the moment I'm using olive oil - yep! - as part of the oil cleansing method. It's working really well!

  4. this looks so good!
i always use really really cheap conditioner on my hair. literally buy it for a quid from the supermarket, put double the amount you would usually put on and leave it there for a good few minutes while having a soak. my hair is always super shiny and soft afterwards :)
im also a massive fan of carmex! :)

  5. I will look it up dear, sounds fabulous!!!

  6. It sounds great and handbag friendly too! Is it expensive?

  7. I love the shea butter from L'Occitane :)

But I curious about this one, let's see if I can find it here!

  8. This sounds like something I could benefit from, where do you buy it?

  9. I'm always on the lookout for moisturizer that actually works as my skin gets super dry in the winter and not much seems to help short of slathering on (very greasy) vaseline.

    So...thanks for the tip! x

  10. I use the latest L´oreal- Dermo- Expertise. It leaves my skin moist, but not greasy and it is really cheap.

  11. One of my new year 'resolution' ( i don't like resolutions, I think of it more as an initiatives) was to take better care of my skin. So today lo and behold I went into a shop and bought myself some creams , cleaning stuff, moisturisers and whatnot:) So I'm planning to start acting like a girl and actually use them! :)

  12. i love hearing the recommendations, keep them coming!

  13. Will definitely have to check this one out. A very generous friend of mine once bought me a pot of Creme de la Mer. Pah! I thought, this hasn't made any difference, until I ran out and then my face seemed to drop over night. What a difference - but what a price tag as well! x

  14. I never heard of Yu-Be - so neat! For me it's Clinique - feels good, and no smell.

  15. Hi, I love reading your beauty posts :)

Some of my beauty regimes are 2 drops or so if extra virgin olive oil into face cream, at the moment i use e45 because my skin is so sensitive. It works well, the EVOO makes skin so so soft. I have been doing this for 5 years now. For face scrub i do twice a week and use EVOO mixed with granulated white sugar and slowly massage it then wash with warm water-This is works for my dry and sensitive skin.

I also use Neal's yard rose water as a facial spritz-not so much toner as i don't think toners work IMO. The rose water smoothes skin and smells good too!

I use the rose and co balm that you also have and apply ti to my nose area and lips for when they are dry.

I think it is best to keep your routine as simple as you can-you don't want to use anything too harsh-you will notice the difference. Oh and face wash-i use original dove bar soap (have done for 5+ years)-I tried oil free neutrogena fash wash & face cream last month but it broke me out, so i have gone back to tried and trusted methods :) Sorry for the long post.

Thanks for taking the time to comment. If you would like to ask me a question, I will reply back here.
