It's so easy to walk around in our everyday lives, constantly in a rush, and not see what is around us. One of the reasons I love photography so much is that it really makes me stop to look around and appreciate beauty in the small things. So lately, I have made an effort not just to see around me but also see what I often miss, things above me. These are images from the last month or two.

  1. You're very true and it's such an analogy of our day to day lives, we focus on so many unimportant worries that we don't see the bigger picture. Such lovely photos. x

  5. Beautiful collection of photos! I think we all can take the little things for granted, I'm definitely going to try and look around me and see what is about more. Definitely inspired from this =)

  11. Lovely photos! I so agree, especially about looking up - I live in a really old town and realised a while ago that I was missing so many interesting features by not looking up. Weathervanes, doors in the middle of roofs... so cool. I never thought about photographing them though, great idea!

  12. These are such beautiful photos that are lovely to see, but then yours always are!
I've noticed in my own photography a growing trend for shots looking upward and some of my favourites in my courework are. I'd love it if my sketchbook looked as amazing as your blog! :)

Photography helps us in individual ways but so often in life enriching ones.
I'm glad you featured the moon. That is a source of comfort to me, that and the stars.
