A Day in York

Yesterday, I visited the beautiful city of York. Only an hour train journey from where I live, we walked around the quaint cobbled streets, admired the contents within the unique boutiques and ate some delicious food.

After glorious weather last weekend, in true British style it poured with rain all day. As a result I wasn't able to take as many photographs as I would have liked. We frantically sought shelter rather than being able to take time to walk comfortably around the streets, taking in the sights. But I still had a wonderful time enjoying a city I had not visited for a few years, here are some moments from my day...

Champagne Lace

You may remember the purchase of this vintage dress I bought recently. I immediately fell in love with the beautiful intricate lace detail along the collar bone and sleeves. This is a colour I don't often buy for occasions in fear it will be ruined on a night out, I can only keep my fingers crossed. I decided to maintain the champagne hue throughout with nude platform shoes, pearl cluster ring and my latest Tabio addition, these beautiful beige flower anklet tights.

Picnic in the Park

We have been having some glorious weather the last few days in the UK, although it is all set to change tomorrow I believe, it never lasts long here so you have to make the most of each opportunity. My friend and I decided to go for a picnic in our favourite Victorian park, calling in at Marks & Spencer on the way for the food. M&S do the best food for parties, picnics and the like. When we arrived at the park, to our delight we found a brass band playing. There were lots of people with their own picnics and barbecues, listening to the music and enjoying the sunshine. A perfect Sunday.
