Picture An Hour ~ 4th December 2010

Picture An Hour. Or thereabouts.
4th December 2010

Decorating the Christmas tree has to be one of my favourite days of the year, where my family and I make quite a day of it - see here for last year. And although I would like to stick to the tradition of 12 days before Christmas, I have to work around my parents being able to get the decorations over to me, as everything lives at their house and not mine. So here's an hour by hour document of the day taken with my usual dslr and then my iPhone later on in the night.

9am - Open my advent calender

Photobucket

10am - Collect some parcels from the Post Office

Photobucket

11am - This is the coldest winter I can ever remember

Photobucket

12 noon - Prepare my traditional 'Putting up the Christmas Tree Orange Muffins'

Photobucket

1pm - Decorate the tree

Photobucket

2pm - Eat the orange muffins along with some mulled wine and satsumas

Photobucket

4pm - Wait for my friend to pick me up

Photobucket

5pm - Pre-theatre drinks

Photobucket

7pm - Arrive at the Theatre Royal to see Robin Hood pantomime

Photobucket

8pm - The panto is in 3D so I don my Gaga-esque 3D glasses

Photobucket

9pm - Slush drink through the performance

Photobucket

10pm - Home and a lovely hot chocolate drink to warm up

  11. Thats sweet how you have traditions every year. Your advent chocolate looks yummy, and like actual real chocolate. I remember when I was younger the kiddies advent chocolate tasted horrid to me.

The Royal THeatre looks so elegant, hope you enjoyed yourself.

  35. I'm with Vahni -- I want to live in your world! What a delightful day. I love your mail and your ornaments.

Instead of adopting us, though, I'd been thinking you should hire out and do "graceful living" interventions -- like, you come live in my world for a few days, and show me how to recognize and arrange prettier food and drink, to settle on a palette and aesthetic for my decor, to style enchanting outfits, to get up and attend elegant entertainments, and to take nicer pictures of it all!
