The vintage cape that I recently bought at the flea-market made it's first appearance last weekend. Actually, it made an appearance on both Saturday and Sunday - I like it that much. Teal is a shade I am particularly fond of, I always find myself drawn to a 'cooler' palette of colours, to fit with my pale skin tone. I tried the belt that came with the cape but as I'd thought, I much prefer the loose shape of it without. Also the shoulders aren't quite as big as they appear here, that was down to the overlapping on the shoulders of the lace playsuit underneath.

i love this colour too, you look fab. It doesn't suit my colourings so I have opted for a bit of a vintage looking brown and teal themed living room :)

Cloud is my maiden name. For years its origin was a mystery -- Native American? French, from St. Cloud? But last year I discovered online that my grandfather's patrilineal ancestry had been traced back to the early 1500s in England, to William and Robert Cloude in Devizes and Calne, Wiltshire. Robert Cloude was a shoemaker -- perhaps I have a genetic excuse to indulge in good shoes more? I LOVE this playsuit and the colour of the cape is beautiful on you! I tend to go for cooler colours too as I think I am nearly as pale with VERY dark hair! I like how dramatic it can be though, especially with red lips in the winter :)
