I know this is a little old news but I thoroughly enjoyed 'Mad Men'-ing Myself! I managed to find for my character a hair bun, eyeliner, red lipstick, huge bow, cute bag and a cocktail - which are most certainly defining characteristics of mine. Have you done it yet? I would love to see if you have, please send me a link!
You may remember a recent post on a Virtual Mad Men Cocktail Party I attended. There was also a competition to make the whole event more fun... and I came third place in the Best Drink-a-Like - thanks to anyone who voted for me!
For the prize, I won a beautiful Eve Arnold photography book and a pink bow leather cuff from Maikitten. The book is in German, unfortunately my brief stint learning German at school was not enough for me to be able to understand any of it but the beautiful photographs are the most important part of the book and also it's quite interesting in itself to own something in another language. Dotti who co-hosted the party, also sent me a couple of very lovely vintage scarves. Thank you both for inviting me!

Oh, I want to 'Mad Men' me! Congratulations, great book. From what I can see she discusses the poverty in the Soviet Union and South Africa.
The bow is beautiful, the leather looks so soft.

That book looks really nice the photos are great ^^
Lucky you! What a beautiful book...I love Eve Arnold's work...there is something so magical about old photographs...I can stare them for hours...
Happy Monday, cheers: Evi
Congratulations on winning that book, it looks beautiful! Love that idea to "Mad Men yourself", I had no clue that excisted, so not "so last season" for me ;-) Have a great week, Love from London x
Congrats on winning the book! And I adore the scarves as well. The photography looks amazing and parts of it do seem to be quite profound and/or touching. I read the brief segment you photographed (I'm fluent in German) and the South African apartheid section is probably quite heartbreaking.
P.S. Regarding photography at the V&A - yes, they usually forbid this (unless it's the general viewing section), but so many people were snapping away with their huge cameras, I figured it would be ok if I took a few on my cell phone :) There was also no security guard present, so I guess that's why everyone got away with it!
congratulations again and how perfect: a pink bow for you. hope, to see some pictures with this little bracelet soon.
I'm so glad you like your prizes! :)
Greetings from Berlin
