Picture An Hour ~ 4th November 2010

Picture An Hour. Or thereabouts.
Today - 4th November 2010

I had to take a day off from work today for a three stage dental appointment. So, to make the day a little more interesting for myself, I decided to document it.

8am - I look out the window, it's raining

Photobucket

9am - Breakfast of orange juice and a Belgian waffle with maple syrup

Photobucket

9.30am - Get dressed

Photobucket

10.30am - At the dentist. How cute are these children's toothbrushes?

Photobucket

1.30pm It's a little while until my final appointment, so I go to a shopping centre and take advantage of Starbuck's Red Cups which have just been launched today. I choose the Toffee Nut Latte but have to drink it though a straw as my mouth is still numb

Photobucket

2.30pm - The shopping centre has a huge Ferrero Rocher decoration. I snap this with the Hipstamatic feature on my iPhone

Photobucket

4.00pm - Arrive home and unpack my shopping

Photobucket

4.30pm - Every year around Christmas time, I buy a new Starbucks mug

Photobucket

6.00pm - Home after the third dental appointment and make something to eat

Photobucket

7.00pm - I finally get to try a whoopie pie - this is the toffee version from M&S

  2. Dentist - yikes! I like the cup-buying-idea, especially when they look that nice and christmass. My days just don't seem very interesting for this feature ;-) Hope your week is good. Love from London x

  8. Excuse my American ignorance :P but what is a whoopie pie? Is it like an creme pie?

  12. Hey beauty- first of all I LOVE the Laduree post and the burlington arcade photos I must have missed- absolutely divine. Great documentation of the dentist trip- it makes the terrors of the dentist seem insignificant against the days niceties? If that makes sense... Love the mugs too and wonder how the whoopie pie tasted?.xx

  22. Whenever I visit your blog and read through your posts then I always reach the decision that I like your "hourpictures" most. They are so private and real and retiringly at the same time.

  23. Looks like a good day! I like your Starbucks mug collection...what a great way to make a holiday mug more than just a novelty that gets put to the back of the shelf eventually! I like collections that coordinate rather than match...I'm currently working on collecting a set blue and white trasferware plates, but without resorting to the standard blue willow pattern. And I looooooved your London pictures...I was there two years ago for 5 days and can't wait to go back again some day. Thanks for "taking" me along with you this time!

    Cheers!
    Hope Ava

  25. I always love these blog posts you do. I may even do something similar in the future, on an interesting day.

I actually enjoy going to the dentists *just for a genral check up though*, as I always leave with a beautiful clean mouth.

You always take such nice food shots! Hmm Whoopie pies, are they nice? I've seen a recipe book on them, they are fairly new to me, I should try one sometime.

    xx Carina

  33. I just had to get another crown to replace a broken tooth which entailed one visit to prepare the tooth (the dentist says "reshape," which means grind it to a stub) and another visit a week later to apply the crown. I am cheering on science to speed up the process of regrowing our own teeth, next week please? I like to treat myself when I am a good girl at the dentist--sadly, we don't have Zara!
