The title of this post was one I 'acquired' from The Sartorialist. I thought it so perfect as I am always so ready for Fall, or Autumn as we Brits say, my absolute favourite season as you already know. It makes me think of cosy clothes with lots of layering. Hot drinks. That woody smell in the air that lets you know Guy Fawkes night with lots of bonfires is soon to arrive. And with Christmas just around the corner to look forward to.
The colours in the Autumn season are second to none. Rich browns, greens and reds in sepia tones, honeyed caramel leaves and shrubbery. See here for my post for Autumn last year, it was made early in the season when the leaves were only starting to fall. This year to mark the occasion, I chose some Gardens in Northumberland where the colours are at their very best. And I chose some vibrant accessories to accentuate the rich reds around me.

i was driving through the country yesterday and the tree's were breathtaking..all the yellows, oranges, and red's. i always fall in love with nature during the fall...its truly a wonderful season.
That gardens are so peaceful and the colours so vibrant!

such beautiful colours. I love autumn too. I saw the most amazing picture of a wood with red, yellow and orange leaves yesterday. Unfortunately I was in the car and there was no where to stop. I must get out and about with my camera though
Such beautiful pictures and I love that beret! We have a tree opposite that I can see from our kitchen window and I love seeing the leaves turn through a gorgeous red before they go gold. Love the autumn so much... already counting the days to toasty bonfire night and Halloween! x

Lovely, lovely, lovely! The hat and the autumn colors suit you. I almost had a hear attack, though. In the first shot, it looked like you had cut your hair...I'm glad to see it's all still there! Not that you wouldn't look amazing with a blunt bob and bangs...but so many ladies have short hair, and few have the kind of hair that can be worn long and dark like yours.
