Studs & Ruffles

Photobucket
I must admit, I wasn't that bowled over when the clog trend came around again. Possibly because I had already experienced them twice over, with the tan Russell & Bromley and the red Miu Miu still sitting in my wardrobe.

However, when looking to choose my monthly piece from Blue Inc, I thought again that a black pair of mules would not go amiss. In fact, I'm sure I will get a lot of wear out of them and see endless styling possibilities ahead.

  1. Am still trying to work my way around the clog trend. I must confess - I have not worn a pair of clogs since I was a teenager. Perhaps it's time to change that;-)

  2. I wasn't sure about clogs to start with either but they've grown on me too, love these :)

  6. I'm not a fan of the clog trend myself however I will say you styled the shoes really well. They look great with the rest of your outfit and it actually is making me look at clogs in a new light! :)

  9. I wasn't enthusiastic about this year's clog comeback, either. I practically lived in clunky Danskos during the early 2000s, sure that I was comfortable *and* chic. It took me a while to train myself to sleeker footwear, and I don't want to give up what I've learned! HOWEVER -- your clogs are sleek, and I love the slightly pointy toe and slim tall heel. Good choice!

  11. I've always had a passion for clogs. One of the things from the '80s that I've never gotten over. Others include day-glo colors and tight jeans. Things that I am over include jazz shoes!

  13. Those are gorgeous!

I find I'm like that with all trends, I was quick to condemn skinny jeans and harem pants, but now I love skinnies and want a pair of harem pants.

  15. I wasn't quite into the clogs trend either, but you definitely wear them well. I'm not very good with anything without an ankle strap though - I can never seem to keep them on my feet!

  26. If I could walk in heels with out falling over I'd be all over the clog trend! Love the mixture of floaty trouser with more structured blouse. Another great outfit!

  27. paris pastry - they are a size 37 (i'm usually a 38) & they are a perfect fit & quite wide around the toe area so actually very comfortable. must be worn with bare feet though, as they would never stay on otherwise!

thanks everyone - i enjoyed hearing your 'clog thoughts' :-)
