For the final Bank Holiday of the summer, I went to nearby Whitworth Hall in the North East of England with my family. This is only the second time I have been despite it being very close to where my parents live. It is known for the lush gardens and lake around the hall and lots of deer roaming freely. It is possible to buy feed and get close to the very tame deer and their babies. I was able to get so close, I saw one of them to have a heart shaped print on his bottom!
Walking around, there was also a very old tiny church which to my delight, I found to be running a little bric-a-brac sale where I was able to buy some pieces to add to my growing collection of bone china. And in true Brit Bank Holiday style, despite still being August, it was absolutely freezing - so a perfect opportunity to wear my new Fisherman style cosy cardigan.
