This week I received an amazing surprise gift, dropped off at my workplace, from blog-friend Kat. A new bakery book which will happily take over from The Hummingbird Bakery cookbook I have been using recently, which you may remember here and here. Check out Kat's review here.
The book is split into seasons and I thought it would be a fun idea to share with you a recipe from each season over the next few months. I'll start with spring, once we're into spring. I'm especially excited for the summer recipe which I have already picked out, it is very special!
Not only did the butterfly girl send me this book which as usual from Kat, is so to my taste. But as you can see from the top photograph, it also came with a notecard which is from The Hummingbird Bakery, showing you a picture of one of their cupcakes with a recipe on the reverse.
Really, this was the most thoughtful gift. I can't wait to get started on the first recipe... hurry up springtime!

This book is just lovely! I wish a friend of mine would send it my way! I've been doing a bit of research into art regarding alice in wonderland and I came across some AMAZING woodcut prints.
