Corners of My Home ~ Dressing Room

The most important room in my home, when I finally got to buy my own property, was to have a dressing room. As a clothes addict, I had always wanted a specific area where all of my clothes, shoes and accessories could be organised. Granted, it is not a huge space and I must admit it is now bursting to the seems with my possessions, but still it is my own little area where I can go each morning to choose what to wear for the day ahead.

Vanity with miniature Marie Antoinette style trinket boxes and hand held mirror

Photobucket
Selection of perfume bottles and Caitlin Shearer and Henri Cartier-Bresson prints

Photobucket
Vintage ring holders bought from flea-markets

Photobucket
A mannequin, mostly just for decorative purposes

Photobucket
Some Top Shop dresses and Chanel handbag

Photobucket
A selection of scarves bursting out of a Laduree carrier bag

Photobucket
Selection of lingerie from Agent Provocateur and Salon Rose at Marks & Spencer

Photobucket
A wardrobe shelf. The Hello Kitty is actually a money-box bought from Top Shop - the idea to save money for more clothes

Photobucket
The door stopper in the shape of a squirrel, bought as a gift from my parents

Photobucket
I can never have too many coat-hangers and seem constantly to run out, so I buy these white wire hangers in packs of 20 from Ebay

Photobucket
My dress wardrobe, all of my dresses are housed here. I love opening the doors to see the array of prettiness

A small selection of shoes from Office, Kurt Geiger and Top Shop

This was fascinating. A dressing room is my number 1 priority when looking for houses too - the boyfriend wants a drum room in the basement, me a room for my clothes! :)

WOW, so gorgeous! I definitely want a dressing room when I have my own place. Right now I have everything crammed into a dresser and fairly small closet, and it's so hard on my clothing );

Paula!! How beautiful everything is in your dressing room. :) I too have a "dressing room" in our little place, but it also consists of a little office nook and my sewing machine / supplies.. and it's not where near as pretty and organized as your space!! I love the little minature chair and vanity.. so sweet.

Hope you're having a sunshiney day.

xx Love & Aloha

i would kill to have a dressing room. i have 3 closets -- all of them bursting, and i have to traipse from one to another to get my looks together. annoying!

I fantasize about my future glamourous dressing room but 'til then, I make do with converting my bedroom and making it do double duty. You can take a look at my DIY design-on-a-budget bedroom complete with chandelier on my style blog

Oh how lovely to have a Dressing Room all to yourself.

I have one, in theory, but I have to share it as wardrobe space with Mr Chick and it's a mess!

I just wanted to let you know I've given you an award on my blog! (Well, you have a choice of 3 actually!)

Haha, I also need my hangers to look all the same. And came up with white wire hangers aswell. Probably for just the same reasons as you di: they're cheap, good lookling and room saving.
