Today's outfit reminds me of the high-waisted shorts worn in the 1940's era as shown above. A recent purchase from Top Shop, these shorts have a vintage vibe which I love. I'm quite enjoying a caramel and black colour combination at the moment, I think it's a classic when complimented with red lips and nails and winged eye-liner.

Those shorts are so pretty, I love anything inspired by the 40s, high waists, curvacious shapes, yum! I would never be able to walk in those shoes though, are they tricky? They look so high!
harriet - i have only worn them a couple of times, they are high & i do have to walk carefully. but i just love 'em & hope that i don't break my neck!

Beautiful... I love the femininity of the 40s look and the shorts are a gorgeous purchase. What I like best is the fact that they can easily be mistaken for a skirt. And those platforms are fantastic! Hope you've had a lovely weekend :)
