Paris... what can I say, I fall in love with it a little more each time I visit. This trip to Paris, although by no means my first, was spent doing a lot of sight-seeing. My friend who accompanied me, had not visited Paris before and so was very keen to see all that the city has to offer. The weather for the most part was glorious and due to the heat kept me out of the shops and in the sunshine. So, for my next few posts, I will show you my days spent in Paris and some of what we saw...
I was most excited about my travel on the Eurostar as I had not travelled this way before. I would definitely choose this method of transport to Paris over flying - so much more relaxing. We started the trip with a glass of Bollinger at The Champagne Bar in St Pancras.
The first stop, after reaching our hotel destination, was Chanel on the beautiful rue Cambon. Sadly they, nor any of their other boutiques, did not have the one item I had intended to buy (but more on that later).
As it was quite late, we then headed to Saint-Germain for a glass of wine in Cafe de Flore. We stayed in the area for several hours, stopping at various cafes, watching the world go by. This thriving area was so busy on Saturday night and definitely one of my favourite areas that I visited.
Tomorrow, I will have a post on my second day in Paris - apologies to those who know Paris well, you will have seen these sights many times before!
