An English Girl in Paris - Part Deux

So, my next morning was spent at many of the famous landmarks in Paris - no trip is complete without an Eiffel Tower visit, right?

We then went on to Versailles. I had not visited the palace before and although terribly busy with tourists, a definite must-see. I had re-watched one of my favourite films, Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette before the trip, so that I could envisage the queen walking along the corridoors with her entourage, dressed in her finery. I think the pictures speak for themselves, opulence at it's most opulent.

We then went on to the fair that runs alongside the Jardin des Tuileries, inspired by some pictures you may have seen before.

Final stop for the day, le Marais. Again, another area I liked very much. I only wish I had had time to visit through the day and wander through the little streets, popping in and out of the gorgeous shops. This has got to be one of my only holidays where little shopping has taken place - and I'm not proud! However, a lot of yummy food and drink was consumed, wasabi coated nuts...

... and the best gelato I have ever tasted from Amorino - raspberry and chocolate were the flavours of choice - scooped into the shape of a flower no less!

Tomorrow, will be my final post on Paris. I do hope you're enjoying my journey as much as I did!

Ooooooh dear!

I'm soooo glad you went to the places I recommended you!! :D

Did you like le Marais? :)
Nice small streets everywhere, uh?

Yes I had some stupid negative comments : on the site "shitty blog"...+ I ended up a relathionship with my best friend because she "copied" my poses in places I've been before her.
Stupid superficial stuffs I'm ashamed of, but it's done. :/

Take care Paula!

Your photos are absolutely stunning. The only place I didn't go and visit was Versailles when I went a year or so ago. It looks beautiful and I definitely need to make a trip and visit it for myself!

I really need to visit Versailles again... I've only been once and forgotten most of it. I was recently told that a little gelateria had beat Amorino's in the best ice cream category... I need to dig out the address again, but I think Merci has a little stand of theirs...

The Marais is probably my favorite neighborhood. There are still so many shops there I haven't discovered. I just wrote out an entire list of indie and vintage stores I need to visit there :) It is a little touristy, but not as seedy as some of Montmartre, which makes it more charming. Glad you had such a wonderful time!

Versailles is heaven on Earth. I visited last June, As soon as I walked in all of my wonders about what heaven will look like were answered.
