Authenticity

Do I have a problem? I love bags. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind shoes, in fact I love pretty shoes but more often than not they hurt my feet.

Bags are different. They don't hurt, you can fill them with lots of nice things, you can touch them and look after them. And, they're good to buy if you're having a fat day. All in all, buying a new bag makes me feel good.

I believe in buying only the real deal. I must admit, I did one day slip and bought a very good quality fake but it has haunted me ever since. It feels wrong. Here is a small selection of authenticity cards I have collected. Awaiting only one... the Chanel 2.55. One day...

  1. There's nothing like a well made handbag. I agree! Love this shot of your bag cards. I throw mine out :)

  3. Oh same. My grandma bought me a fake Chanel once...but it looks incredibly fake and it's never had an outing...bless her, she meant well but I just can't do it. Plus it was one of those terribly cheap looking designs.

I would love a real 2.55 one day! Oh the dream...

  9. A real Chanel is like entering the WOMAN life for the first time...
    I don't feel like a teannger anymore.

I ♥ beautiful bags too, we definitely should be "real life" friends ;)

  10. Awh they're lovely, but I'm just not morally able to hand over that much money for one bag!

I'll just gaze lovingly from a distance instead ... :(

  11. Sometimes there's nothin better than a really beautiful designer bag and you tend to keep them season after season. Other times I like a 'knock a bout' bag that you don't have to worry about and that's much lighter weight, Kx

  14. If you're a bag person, Chanel is definitely the holy grail - I love the one with the dark silver hardware. Although I'm actually more a shoe than a bag person. But I agree, that buying the real deal is a must. I too once bought a very good fake (hey, I was a teenager) and used it all the time, but it fell apart. There are reasons the real thing will cost a lot more. Have a fab weekend! Oh, and I left you an award on my blog :)

  17. I only buy the real deal too....or something that's no-name, but never a counterfeit. That's the worst.

  18. oooh i wanna see pics!!
    show show show :)
    im the same way about
    bags. but i covet more
than buy. i like to hold
    them ALL when i go
    shopping.. totally
    annoys the sales
    clerks but i do
    it anyway :)
    cant help it!

  19. I totally agree with deciding not to purchase fake accessories, clothing, etc. You don't know where these pieces are being made or who they're being made by. Good for you :P

I'm definitely a shoe guy myself.
