Afternoon Tea

Top Shop polka tutu dress ❖ Tabio black tights ❖ black patent gladiator sandals

One of the greatest pleasures in life for me, is finding new places for Afternoon Tea. I'm such an old lady, I like nothing better than some triangle sandwiches, delicate cakes and pastries and a strong pot of Earl Grey tea, especially in front of a roaring open fire (which sadly wasn't lit due to it being summer).

So yesterday I ventured to Matfen Hall in Northumberland for a friend's birthday. The Hall is quite an old English traditional style rather than contemporary modern and it is set in the most amazing English countryside.

  1. i love afternoon tea as well! every christmas me and my mum go to claridges or the dorchester for high tea and sit there wishing we could do this all the time. i know it's just sandwhichs and tea but it always tastes better there than anywhere else.

  5. I wish I liked tea more so I had an excuse for this, afternoon milkshake and cake seems a big indulgence, but afternoon tea just sounds civilised.
