Moleskine Addict

An on-going addiction of mine is... Moleskine notebooks. I have spoken before about my love of classic, cult items that have a sense of history to them.

Molekine is the legendary notebook used by European artists and thinkers for the past two centuries, from Van Gogh to Picasso, from Ernest Hemingway to Bruce Chatwin. This trusty, pocket-size travel companion held sketches, notes, stories and ideas before they were turned into famous images or pages of beloved books
.
I currently use the pocket book; day to a page diary; notebook and London city guide. I love looking through to the Moleskinerie page on Flickr, I find it so interesting to see what other people write, stick and attach. It was here I got the idea to attach a little charm to the silk bookmark.

  2. That little bead is adorable. Such a cute idea. I am so nosey, I love flicking though diaries and things like that. I used to love flicking through my friends sketchbooks during art a-level. They are always so personal and unique to each person!

  6. Awesome pictures! Moleskins always remind me of my dad, because he has had one for as long as I can remember, usually falling apart at the seams, that he writes all of his meetings, information he needs to remembers, and basically everything in.

  12. That charm is so adorable. I have two notebooks on the go at the moment, one to write in, and one purely for sticking things in. Oh, and about ten of my shelf that are complete. Haha, I look through the Flickr channel all the time looking for inspiration.
